Commissions
I am happy to take on commissions. I suggest requesting within a minimum of 2 months before you are wanting to receive the artwork. By instructing a commission from me, you are acknowledging that the painting will be completed in my style of art. To start the process, you need to provide a reference from either a previously painted artwork or an image (you can also browse my Pinterest for inspiration). Once materials and a reference have been decided, a 50% deposit is required. Upon finishing the work, I will share photos and videos to allow you to direct me on any further adjustments you would like made.
Paying the remaining 50% means you are accepting that no further changes need to be done and your painting can now be carefully packaged and sent to its new home!
Choosing materials
Stretched canvas linen - canvas stretched over a wooden frame. These allow for a larger variety of sizes for paintings to suit your space and require custom framing to be completed by a framer. Unstretched canvas linen is also convenient for international buyers as these paintings can be rolled and shipped in a courier tube to cut down shipping costs.
Canvas board - canvas linen stretched over a flat board. These are limited to standard sizes between A5 - A1. The linen texture is more visible through the painting. Paintings on canvas boards can be placed in store-bought frames.
Framing
Quality store-bought frames will be more cost-effective for paintings on canvas board. I recommend Country Road frames, these will also increase the display size due to their mount boards e.g. an A3 artwork is put into an A2 frame. I am happy to arrange these at no extra cost.
Framing stretched canvas linen can be done in various woods: Obeche, Matt white, Ashwood, Thermo Ash or American Walnut (ranging in prices from low to high). Before choosing a wood, consider your home furniture and what would suit it. Framing will take between 10 - 15 working days.
